What: A Center for Global Engagement and BUSA 4528 Academic Credit Program
When: Spring Break (March 9-18, 2012)
Who: North Georgia College & State University Students - Enrollment is limited to twenty-eight (28) students.
Why: The program exposes North Georgia students to business practices and cultures other than their own. Students observe international commerce and economic activities in a location of historical business significance. They gain knowledge of a culture rich with global influences and the multinational evolution of British industry. This program provides an opportunity for students to experience international travel and cultural diversity within a structured environment.

Credit: Students receive three (3) semester hours of credit by completing the course requirements of BUSA 4528 during Spring Semester (BBA students may take either as an elective or as a substitute BUSA 4527), A one (1) semester hour BUSA 2528 trip-only option is offered on space available basis only.
For-Credit Prereqs: ACCT 2101 & 2102, ECON 2105 & 2106, FINC 3440, MGMT 3661, MKTG 3700 (Grades of C or better)


Application Priority

Senior BBA majors will receive first priority; junior BBA majors, second priority. Others considered on trip-only, space-available basis.

Program Cost: $2395

  • Round trip airfare from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson to London Heathrow
  • Eight nights at the Hesperia Victoria Hotel
  • Daily Breakfast
  • Transportation to and from Heathrow and the hotel
  • Seven-day tube (subway) pass
  • Transportation to and from Stonehenge, Stratford-at-Avon & Jaguar, Windsor Castle
  • Admission fees to all itinerary events
Noon and evening meals are not included.

Fee Payments and Miscellaneous Information

To apply for the program, you must submit a $200 deposit along with all forms required through the Center for Global Engagement application. Final payments are due on or before Friday, January 6, 2012. All payments and registration materials are submitted to the Center for Global Engagement.

The $200 deposit fee will be refunded to those applicants not selected. In the event of a trip cancellation, participants shall receive a full refund of all monies paid.

Deposits and other payments will be applied to required advances, airline ticket purchases, hotel accommodations, and other related program costs. Participants withdrawing after January 6, 2012 may receive a full refund less any non-recoverable deposits or payments made on their behalf.

A Passport and Medical Insurance Coverage is Required!

(Student study-abroad insurance provided as part of program cost.)
